One day Carlos Montoya was a mexican; the next day he was American; and it was not by his own choice. When the United States makes the Gadsden Purchase from Mexican president Santa Ana, it starts a chain of events that forever alters the lives of Carlos and his family. After their land is taken from them by a dishonest Texan through corrupt court proceedings, the Montoyas hatch a dishonest scheme of their own to take their revenge.
